A PROPOSAL ON UNIFORM CONSTITUTION APPLICATION FOR INDIVIDUAL BATCH

ACCOUNTING ALUMNI ASSOCIATION

On 26 December 2001, a decision was taken by the Executive Committee of The Accounting Alumni to develop a uniform Constitution for helping the individual batches to constitute their individual Batch Alumni Association. For this purpose, a Uniform Batch Alumni By-Laws/Constitution Committee was formed with the following persons:

The above Committee has done their responsibility wonderfully and in a meeting of the Executive Committee of The Accounting Alumni held on 25 December 2002, the proposed Uniform Batch Constitution was accepted with some corrections done by Mr. Swapan Kumar Bala, FCMA. The finalized ‘__TH BATCH ACCOUNTING ALUMNI ASSOCIATION CONSTITUTION (Proposed)” has been presented in the next pages. This is a guideline for individual batches and not mandatory. Each Batch can develop their own Constitution after following this guideline.

__TH BATCH ACCOUNTING ALUMNI ASSOCIATION CONSTITUTION (Proposed)

ARTICLE - 1: NAME

The name of the organization shall be “_th Batch Accounting Alumni Association” (hereinafter termed the “Association”). It came into force as a benevolent organization of the former students, representing __th Batch, Department of Accounting & Information Systems, University of Dhaka.

ARTICLE-2: OFFICE AND SEAL

(2.1) The Head Office of the Association shall be situated at Dhaka, Bangladesh. However, it can take the office elsewhere at home and abroad, provided that the practical circumstance justifies it and is not in conflict with the broad goal of the Association.

(2.2) The Association shall be an organization of perpetual succession with an official seal.

ARTICLE-3: DEFINITION OF TERMS

(3.1) “The Alumni” means “The Accounting Alumni”, Department of Accounting or Department of Accounting & Information Systems (renamed from the 24th day of November of 2002), University of Dhaka.

(3.2) “The Association” Means “The _th Batch Accounting Alumni Association”.

(3.3) “__th Batch Alumni” means the students of the __th Batch, Department of Accounting & Information Systems, University of Dhaka.

(3.4) “The Department” means “Department of Accounting or Department of Accounting & Information Systems” (renamed from the 24th day of November of 2002), University of Dhaka.

(3.5) “The Committee” means “The Executive Committee’ of the Association.

(3.6) “The Commission” means “The Election Commission”.
